Squashed expectations

Here I am. Finally, spring has sprung . . . or at least it looks that way, and I am looking forward to a bounty of fresh vegetables growing in the garden. BUT, having put my squash plants into the ground two days ago, they now look like this . . .

Nnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooo!

Even though I lovingly crafted this handsome little house for them, after the first night, they all fell to the ground and decided it was all too much.

So, here is the thing, they are not quite dead – nearly, but not quite, and I wondered whether it might be possible to Heal them back to strength? Hmmmm. Maybe I’m taking on too much and the plants are already too far gone. But, I have decided to give it a go and see what happens . . .

Stay tuned, I will let you know how it goes. It’s going to take some serious Healing but I like squash way too much to let this be the fate of my vegetable season!

think good thoughts . . . think good thoughts . . . think good thoughts . . . think squash!
