Horse holidays

Today has been busy. I'm getting the website ready for the summer e-mail readings campaign. I've been persuaded that, as so many people taking a reading want to know about their love situation, potential partners, new and old relationships etc, I should make an offer designed just for them. So, that's what I have done. Each reading will be about half and A4 page and cost only 399kr.

Anyway, my afternoon is going to be cut short because one of our horses is taking a summer holiday in Litjdalen and so needs to be moved. Last time I moved this horse, I ended up with two broken fingers! It was my own fault, I thought I was stronger than the horse and she proved me to be oh so very wrong – did Milton-Jones learn his lesson? Hmmmm, I can't be too sure but I do plan on keeping all my fingers this time.

I like having horses, they are lovely animals but I'm not the best rider in the world. When riding, I see myself looking like this . . .

but know I actually look more like this . . .

There is something special about getting out into the nature on the back of a horse. The world feels like it slows down and life falls into perspective. There is time to appreciate how clever mother nature is – until your horse gets spooked by a tree half a kilometer away and you end up lying on your back, staring up at your velvet-nosed friend. Another reminder of who is the boss, I guess.

Anyway, my point in all of this is that it's good to get out into nature, be face to face with the ground, stand beneath the mountains, and remember how small we actually are. Time marches on at it's constant pace, regardless of what fun we have or what problems we are facing. But putting life into perspective every now and then is important. None of us are bigger than mother nature and our time here in this world is awfully short. So, carpe diem folkens! ! ! Cease the day.

Happy fredag alle sammen :-D
